This is a listing of basketball tournaments that are available for NCHBC teams to play in.  If you are a tournament director and would like to list tournament openings please send the information using the Contact Us form in the right hand column. 

• The Goal is to develop a nationwide series of 7-8 Regional Tournaments that will give virtually all teams throughout the United States an opportunity to participate.

• The Purpose of the Regional Tournaments is to assist the National Tournament Seeding Committee properly seed teams for the NCHBC. Additionally it will provide exposure for All-Region and All-American Candidates prior to final ballot being cast by coaches.

• The System is to divide the US into regions for:
          1. Automatic Bids for Division 1
          2. All-Region Teams
          3. All-American voting

• The Benefits of attending your Regional include the following:

• Each Region is assigned a set number of Division 1 Automatic Bids. While the bids are for the region as a whole, the Regional Tournament will have significant impact on the overall National Tournament seeding.This number of Division 1 seeds is determined by the teams from each region that placed in the top 24 spots at the previous National Tournament and will be listed on the main page of each region.

• All heads up tie breakers will be broken by the highest finish at Regionals. Example two teams are 1-1 against each other, the highest finisher is awarded the higher seed.

• All multi way tie breakers are broken by the finish at Regionals. This is very important because there is often a loop created with 3 teams( sometimes up to 6 teams) where teams all go1-1 against each other or even sometimes much more difficult loops when a group of teams play alot during the year.

• Many tie breakers will be broken at Regionals when one team attends Regionals and another does not, the team that attends is awarded the higher seed because they finished higher at Regionals.

• The winner of each Regional Tournament is GUARANTEED a number 1 seed in Division 1.

• Individual Awards

• This year All-Americans will be voted on by region. Coaches from each region will cast ballots but will only be permitted to vote for players they watched play.

• The team that wins the Regional Tournament is GUARANTEED one First Team All-American. 

• This year there will be additional awards Catagory, as an All Regional Team will be selected in addion to All-American Honorable Mentions and 1st, 2nd and 3rd Team All-Americans.

•  Teams will be permitted to play at different Regional Tournaments if necessary.
